ElsewhereAcrylic; 8"x10"; 2008; $120
A deliberately constructed alien landscape, on a world of different animals, vegetation and colouration. The "tree" is translucent, and the colurful background may be vegetation or atmosphere - what do you think? The "creature" on the tree is harmless, and has been equipped, through evolution, to disguise itself to resemble the leaves hanging on the adjacent vine. With two lower, clawed limbs, it can run quickly up the tree, and it's single eye is on a stock which collapses into the fur on its back to complete the disguise. |
